The Islands That Found Her
There are places that find you rather than the other way around. For three years in the early 1980s, the islands of Fiji were that place — the red dirt roads of Naqelewai, the warmth of people who opened their homes without hesitation, the particular quality of Pacific light at the end of a long day. These photographs are not simply memories. They are evidence of a life changed.
